Cy5 F-Luc mRNA
Cy5 F-Luc mRNA has been designed to produce high expression level of FireFly Luciferase. It is commonly used in mammalian cell culture to measure both gene expression and cell viability. It emits bioluminescence in the presence of the substrate, luciferin.
When labeled with Cy5, F-Luc mRNA can be easily traced to analyze mRNA delivery and translation efficiency.
OZ Biosciences mRNAs are produced by in vitro transcription and stabilized at the 5’ end by modified nucleotides capping (Cap1). These mature mRNAs contain a poly(A) tail at the 3’ end and are also optimized to yield improved stability and performance.
Cy5 F-Luc mRNAs:
- #MRNA16c does not bear any additional nucleotide modifications and is labelled with Cy5 (Sulfo-Cyanine5) by replacing 15 % of U.
- #MRNA12c is modified with 5-methoxyuridine (5moU) and labelled with Cy5 (Sulfo-Cyanine5) by replacing 15 % of moU by UTP-Cy5.
- MRNA24C: is modified with N1-methylpseudouridine (N1-mψ) and labelled with Cy5 (Sulfo-Cyanine5) by replacing 15 % of N1-mψ by UTP-Cy5.
