Last week, our R&D team traveled to Porto to attend the bi-annual siNPAIN project meeting, hosted by i3S - Instituto de Investigação e Inovação em Saúde.
We're now at month 36 of this 54-month European project, and we’re proud to lead Work Package 1, focused on developing an siRNA delivery system for osteoarthritis in close collaboration with CIDETEC.
We shared promising results validated on primary cartilage, nerve and blood vessel cells by our partners at i3s, UCLA, BIOTIS Bordeaux and AO Research Institute Davos (ARI).
The technology is also being evaluated for sterility and absence of inflammatory activation by the University of Liverpool.
In vivo testing is currently ongoing on rabbit models of osteoarthritis at Universität des Saarlandes, and exploitation possibilities are actively under discussion.
Thanks at all, we had a great progress meeting!
