We are delighted to share insights from a recent study entitled "Geneformer-guided multiomics integration identifies Pbx1 as a network hub of hematopoietic stem cell aging" published in Science Advances by Hiroshi Kobayashi et al.
They integrated deep learning foundation models with transcriptomic and epigenetic profiling to discover how the transcription factor Pbx1 acts as a critical regulator of blood stem cell aging, driving lineage skewing toward platelets at the expense of red blood cells.
CombiMag was used to facilitate and optimize the retroviral transduction of transcription factors into primary hematopoietic stem cells, enabling successful functional genomic screening.
