We're delighted to share insights from a recent study entitled "Transdermal Delivery of an mRNA-Liposome Vaccine via Dissolving Microneedle to Preserve Vaccine Activity and Enhance Immune Activation" published in Advanced Science by J.Nam, J.Ahn, J.Shin et al.

They developed an innovative multilayer dissolving microneedle platform (ML-DMN) that stabilizes mRNA at 4°C and directly targets immune-rich skin layers. This system triggers powerful T-cell and antibody responses, demonstrating a significant dose-sparing effect and overcoming the logistical hurdles of traditional needle-based mRNA vaccines.

Congratulations to all the authors on this excellent article!

Our unmodified firefly luciferase (F-Luc mRNA) and OVA mRNA were used as components to validate the platform's high transfection efficiency and its ability to induce robust systemic and localized adaptive immunity.
